Check out this video. It contains the statement that many people are attacking Supreme Court Nominee Sotomayor. When I watch the clip and see the statement in context, while I think it was not a shining moment, I am not disturbed by the statement. If this is the worst, I really don’t see a deal killer for confirmation here. – Glenn
Gov. Sarah Palin in a recent interview described the role of the VP to include being “in charge” of the Senate. She was not even close. While the Vice President is given the title “President of the Senate”, it carries no executive powers in that role. It’s main role in the Senate is to cast tie-breaking votes.
