Episode 82 – Obama Fails on BP and Transparency

President Obama talks about BP and offering, or not offering, a job to Congressman Sestak to keep him out of the Senate primary in Pennsylvania against Arlen Specter. Jeff and Glenn talk about Obama, how he’s doing with the BP disaster, and why he’s failing when it comes to this issue, and the overall issue of transparency. While the Obama administration will point to its many successes, Jeff and Glenn explain why the ends don’t justify the means, and more thought needs to be giving to how things are done, not just what is accomplished.

Clips to listen for:

  • Time 24:30: a clip of President Obama from his White House press conference runs, and Jeff and Glenn talk about the Sestak job offer.
  • Time 38:00: the PoliTalk guys engage in a discussion about South and North Korea, and why Secretary of State Clinton is the MVP of this political season.
  • Time 48:00: with an entertaining clip of Helen Thomas, the long-serving reporter who asked a very interesting question of President Obama.

PoliTalk: Best Friends. Vast Political Experience. Refreshing political discussion…without the fighting…and with a few laughs. Hosted by Glenn Gaudet and Jeff Kimball.

  1. Ok, this has nothing to do with politics. Anyway, I don’t know if it’s just me, but did you must switch from publishing in mp3 to m4a? Because I didn’t even realize that podcast aggregator had put the last three episodes of your show on my mp3 player until I realized I hadn’t heard one in a while. And I went in, and they were all there in m4a format. They didn’t show up when I was playing because my player doesn’t support m4a. Could you switch back to mp3 possibly? Or give an option to download that way? Would be much appreciated. Thanks anyway for the great show.

  2. Yikes Ross!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We are trying new editing software. Obviously, we forgot to change the default output… our bad. We prefer MP3 as well 🙂

Thanks for listening and keeping us on our toes!

    Glenn
