Rand Paul at Kentucky Senate Debate

Candidates Jack Conway (D) and Rand Paul (R) meet in Louisville for another debate. Jack Conway is the state’s Attorney General and was first elected in 2007. Rand Paul, son of Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), is supported by the Tea Party.

  1. Didn’t have an hour to watch the whole debate, but found both opening statements a little more than strange.

    Actually thought Conway a bit wooden and a little too much in attack mode off that bat.

    However, I think Rand Paul missed an opportunity to look senatorial, and failed to assume the mantle of wronged party.

    The Aqua Buddha incident is simply bizzare; and actually think Conway overstretched way too much in pushing it. But Rand didn’t address the argument well, and denouncing an opponent as a liar in that kind of forum comes off a bit amateurish.
